Operation Wealth Creation coordinator, Col. Ronald Rubaale has called on young people to take advantage of government initiatives such as Youth Livelihood Program(YLP), Parish Development Model in order to attain financial freedom.
He said this during the Nkumba University NRM Chapter Symposium held at Nkumba University on Friday 13th May 2022.
Rubaale said the youth have a role to play in setting the pace in developing enterprises through government programs.
While delivering his keynote address, Rubaale tasked the youth to form groups in order to benefit from the already existing government programs tailored for them.
He furthermore rallied the youth to brainstorm ideas, accelerate innovation and invention engineered towards development of the economy.
At the same event, Col. Sam Ntambirwe who is the Deputy Chief of Civil-Military Cooperation of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces, underscored the essence of financial discipline and savings for the youth.
